The Ronald Duncan Literary Foundation

The Ronald Duncan Literary Foundation is a charitable trust that exists to promote the work and achievements of Ronald Duncan. It further encourages creative excellence and advances causes the Trustees deem to be of value. This encouragement applies particularly to writing, poetry and performance.

The Trustees have recently sponsored events at Ways With Words (Dartington), and the Ledbury Festival and a performance of Britten’s The Rape of Lucretia at the Arcola Theatre London as well as grants to many arts organizations with a special focus in the South West of the UK.

Grant Applications
If you wish to be considered for a grant, please apply using this online form. All applications must be made online. We are sorry but postal bids are not considered.

The application form includes fields which ensure that your application fits the criteria set by the RDLF.

The Trustees meet twice a year in the Spring and Autumn. Processing applications takes time and you should leave at least eight months before the start of your project.

Bids are for a maximum of £1500. Priority is given to projects based in South West England, and to ones that are broadly relevant to Duncan’s interests. These included plays, poetry, opera, fiction and life in Devon.

The Trustees cannot consider applications for general admin costs or academic research unless that research is related in some part to the work of Ronald Duncan. Neither personal appeals nor requests for building sponsorship can be considered. We welcome your application.
